New Shopp Payment Processors

Four more payment options made it to the Shopp Store this week and we’re sure they’re gonna make a lot of people very happy.

Intuit Merchant Service for QuickBooks

Intuit, developers of the popular small business accounting software, QuickBooks, entered the merchant services industry to package credit card processing services into their flagship QuickBooks software. The integration is killer, making it easy to process credit cards within QuickBooks and, using the same merchant account, process cards online. Merchants can then take advantage of easy import of online trasactions into their desktop QuickBooks software.

The Intuit Merchant Service addon for Shopp takes credit cards through your website. That means you’ll need to have setup SSL encryption and secure certificate to protect the payment details.

Braintree

Braintree is another upstart in the online payments industry for US merchants. They’re up front about their fees and rates, they don’t lock you into a contract, and they don’t charge you cancellation fees if you decide to close out your account. They’re also social, using channels like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn to keep an open dialogue with their merchants.

The Braintree addon for Shopp is also an onsite processor, giving store owners the flexibility to create an immersive shopping experience. Again, it’ll require SSL encryption with a secure certificate, but the payoff of higher conversions is worth the extra effort.

Amazon Payments

The Amazon Payments integration for Shopp makes use of the Amazon Flexible Payments Service (FPS) to provide online store owners to securely take payments with credit cards, bank transfers and even amazon.com account balances.

The Amazon Payments addon sends your customers to a secure Amazon Payments processing website to handle customer payment information securely while reducing your PCI compliance requirements. Plus, you tap into a market where millions of people already have Amazon accounts, instantly earning trust with those customers, and reducing friction since they don’t have to make another account to pay for something.

eProcessing Network

eProcessing Netowrk has been in business doing credit card processing for over 10 years. US-based merchants can process in-store and online transactions through the same gateway with a number of different devices.

The eProcessing addon for Shopp uses their Transparent Database Engine (TDBE) to process credit cards without shoppers needing to leave your website. Of course, like all other onsite payment processors it’ll mean setting up SSL encryption with a secure certificate to protect your customers.
