PSiGate provides e-commerce payment services for merchants operating in the US and Canada. The PSiGate add-on for Shopp integrates your Shopp storefront with the PSiGate credit card processing service.
You’ll need an account with PSiGate before you can process credit card payments through them. Visit the PSiGate website for more information about opening an account.
When your account is setup, you will need to take note of the following information for use in setting up your PSiGate addon for Shopp:
- Store ID
Web Hosting Setup
Since the PSiGate add-on for Shopp uses an onsite checkout process, sensitive information (such as credit card numbers) will be entered on your website. In order to protect your customer’s information, your website’s hosting service will need to have SSL Setup|setup to support SSL. Setting up SSL will require an SSL certificate for your website. You can buy SSL certificates from the Shopp Store.
- Uncompress the add-on files
- Upload the folder (directory) and all its contents to your Shopp add-ons folder (directory) under:
To setup Shopp to use PSiGate, login to your website’s WordPress admin and navigate to Shopp → Setup → Payments.
- Payment Gateway
Select PSiGate from the Payment Gateway menu and click the Add Payment Option button.
- Option Name
Enter a custom label for the payment option as you would like it to appear on your store front (such as Credit Card)
- Supported Cards
Select the payment cards your site will accept for processing
- PSiGate Store ID
Login to your Braintree account to find your Merchant ID. Copy and paste it into your Shopp settings for Braintree.
- PSiGate Passphrase
Login to your Braintree account to find your Public Key. Copy and paste it into your Shopp settings for Braintree.
- Enable test mode
This setting will allow you to send transactions to the PSiGate test servers so that you can test your setup without moving any real money. Disable this setting to run live transactions. Your account will initially be setup with access limited to the test servers. You will need to contact your PSiGate account manager to get access to the live “production” servers.
