Creating A New PHPInfo File

Summary

PHP includes a function known as phpinfo() that provides a formatted page of information regarding your PHP/web server hosting environment. You can use this to determine whether your web hosting will support Shopp or diagnose other configuration issues.

Implementation

  • Create a new file named info.php or check_info.php
  • In the file, enter the following PHP code:
<?php
phpinfo();
?>
  • Upload the file to your web server where you can reach it from the web
  • Load your info.php or check_info.php file from your web site by using http://www.example.com/path/to/info.php or http://www.example.com/path/to/check_info.php

Now you can detemine whether your PHP setup will support Shopp. Note the PHP version, the version of the MySQL server, and the GD and cURL library versions and check them against the requirements for Shopp.
